North Dallas Doula Associates recognizes birth as a powerful rite of passage;
an experience that is profoundly impacted by the guidance, information and support you receive throughout your unique and innately personal journey. Our services are unbiased, inclusive, non-judgmental, and trauma informed. We honor ALL families & birth preferences; medicated, unmedicated, cesarean, VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), surrogate, hospital, home & birth center. 

Melissa Espey-Mueller

  • We will meet with you and your partner for an initial complimentary consultation to discuss services and fees.

  • Your doula will discuss your feelings, hopes, & intentions, for your upcoming birth experience and discover how she will work to support you based on your culture, perspective, preferences and past personal experiences.

  • Once you have retained NDDA, we will immediately be on call for you from the moment of hire.

  • Your doula is available to answer questions or help you with concerns by phone or by email.

  • Your doula will offer advice on reading material, prenatal classes and upcoming events in your area based on your personal requests, needs, and desires.

  • Your doula will meet with you and your partner in our office (or virtually) to discuss birth preferences prior to your delivery.

  • Your doula will connect with you as soon as labor begins & join you in active labor. 

  • Your doula will help provide expert advice on breathing and relaxation techniques, visualization, massage, pressure point and counter pressure, productive positional changes, encourage beneficial movements and facilitate continuous support throughout labor.

  • Your doula will remain with you post delivery to help with your initial breastfeeding, bottle, or chestfeeding experience.

  • Your attending birth doula will stay in communication with you post delivery, to answer postpartum questions and to reflect on your birth experience.

  • You will have the option of more comprehensive, in home, lactation help from our Internationally Board Certified Lactation team.
