Meridith Lohse
Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant,
Loss Support specialist, Educator,
Placenta Encapsulation specialist,
Director of Lactation Services at North Dallas Doula Associates
Meridith's passion has always been to help people. So, it's no wonder that her life's journey has brought her to a place where she can support individuals as they become a family. As an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, she feels honored to be a part of one of the most terrifying, exhausting, empowering, and memorable parts of a family's life. While serving as a lactation consultant, Meridith will have the opportunity to help families navigate their personal breastfeeding journey. In addition to in-home support, she is available for breastfeeding classes and consults, MoMe yoga classes, baby wearing instruction, and prenatal loss support.
As an extension of her postpartum services, Meridith also offers placenta encapsulation, tinctures, salves, and prints throughout the DFW area. She is trained through IPPA and is the only specialist trained in the handling and care of human organs. In addition to being trained in human organ procurement, she maintains a state food handlers certificate and blood born pathogens training. This ancient practice helps to regulate hormones, replenish energy and iron levels, increase milk supply, and reduce postpartum bleeding.
Meridith has two wild little boys and a sparkling little girl. She has been married for 12 years. Prior to becoming a doula, she worked as an advocate for organ donor families and as a hospital chaplain in L&D and NICU. Meridith holds an undergraduate degree in Healthcare Biology from Baylor University and a Master's of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. She also serves as mother to mother breastfeeding support leader with La Leche League International.
Meridith looks forward to meeting with you and putting together a plan that will honor you in your parenting goals, provide you with evidence based support, and empower you to become the mommy and daddy that your children need you to be.
