Dodie’s past life was working in fundraising but when her son was born in 2015 her heart turned to motherhood. A very challenging postpartum period and long struggle with establishing breastfeeding showed her firsthand the great need for support for new moms and their families. She feels uniquely qualified to relate to a struggling mother because she has been there and knows there can be a light at the end of that tunnel. She is privileged to serve you as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and an educator who teaches Breastfeeding classes on the east side of Dallas.
Dodie was born and raised in Dallas and graduated from Lake Highlands High School. She attended McMurry University for her undergraduate degree in Sociology and The University of Connecticut for her Master’s in Public Administration. She has been married for 6 years and has two wonderful kiddos, a boy and a girl. She is also a veteran leader for La Leche League of Rockwall County, a mother-to-mother breastfeeding support group.
Dodie is excited to meet with you to help you and your family achieve your breastfeeding goals, provide you with the full picture, help you overcome any stumbling blocks, and to see you feel empowered to take the next steps in your parenting journey.
