Cara Mandeville
Birth & Postpartum Doula
&
Educator
Cara is a trained birth & postpartum doula. She grew up wanting to be an educator, but her journey lead her in the direction of IT work; specifically teaching providers how to use hospital software. However, she was always drawn to teaching children and worked as a full time nanny while obtaining her masters degree. It was caring for these families that sparked her interest in postpartum doula work. Cara was confident that her passion for educating could be beautifully married with her desire to support new families as a doula. The birth of her daughter was eye opening experience for her and she quickly realized the need for information and guidance during pregnancy and delivery. She knew that being a birth doula in addition to her postpartum work was where she could combine her passion for new families with her desire to teach and support.
Cara fully believes that every family should be informationally, emotionally, and physically supported in the most transformative time of their lives; the birth of their child. She provides unbiased and nonjudgmental support for all families, beliefs and backgrounds, but holds a special place in her heart for same sex or LGBTQIA identifying couples. Cara knows that as a part of the community herself, she holds a unique perspective and ability to offer guidance from personal experience.
Born and raised in Texas, she has lived in the DFW all her life. Cara and her wife reside in a small community between Dallas and Fort Worth with easy access to both sides of the metroplex. They share a beautiful daughter and three much loved fur babies. When Cara isn’t supporting families, you can find her at Canton picking out furniture to DIY or hanging out with her big fat Greek family. She is excited to help you feel empowered and informed throughout your journey!
