Addi Burke
Birth Doula,
Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, &
Team Coordinator for NDDA
Addi Burke is a Madriella certified birth doula and NDDA trained placenta encapsulation specialist. She graduated from Valparaiso University with a BS in Biology and minors in both Engineering and Chemistry. During her four years at Valpo, she played Division I softball, where she broke the record for 2nd base fielding percentages and was in the top 10 ESPN plays of the year! As an elite level athlete, she truly believes that every moment on the field shaped her into the driven, team player she is today.
Through college, Addi bounced between multiple career ideas ranging from mechanical engineering to practicing as an OBGYN or a Certified Nurse Midwife. After two summers spent working as an intern at North Dallas Doulas Associates and Midwife & co, she finally discovered her true calling and her desire to serve families as a birth doula. A natural born leader, Addi’s birth philosophy consists of high-level critical thinking skills, unwavering encouragement and making sure her clients always keep their “head in the game”!
During her time as an intern, NDDA quickly recognized her contribution and strong work ethic and, upon graduation, offered her the leadership role of Team Coordinator. This position allows Addi to continue her love of helping others to see their true potential through teamwork and supportive collaborations.
In her spare time, she can be found coaching a 16U softball team, attending musicals with her family, or with her nose in a book. Addi is also an animal lover with a pack of dogs at home to love.
